Hi I'm sandie

I currently live in Spokane, WA. I am a retired high school teacher and grandmother of twenty.

About Me

I was raised in Westlake, Ohio. I graduated in English/French from Brigham Young University. My husband, Rees, and I were married in 1967 in the Salt Lake Temple. We have 5 children and 20 grandchildren. I taught high school in Ohio, Utah, and Indiana. I am now retired and living with my husband in Spokane, Washington. My husband and I served a mission in the Paris, France Mission in 2012-2013. I am currently an early-morning seminary teacher. I enjoy gardening, sewing, reading, family history, selling books and bowling.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the Mormon church when I was age 7. We were living in Louisiana at the time. I was so happy to learn about Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. I have been a member of the church since then. I attended Brigham Young University in the late '60s, where I met and married by husband ( in the beautiful Salt Lake Temple.) We were blessed with five children. We lived in several states, including mostly Ohio, but also in Utah, Indiana, and now in Washington State. We have enjoyed our membership in the church throughout our years and have made many forever-friiends.We have both served in many callings and have enjoyed these experiences. I have a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the teachings of the Mormon church. I know that our Heavenly Father loves all this children, and that Jesus Christ is indeed our Savior.

How I live my faith

I have held many calling over the years. Most of the time I have worked with Young Women on a ward and stake level. I am currently teaching seminary-- a calling I love! (Even though it is taught at 6:30 am!)
