Hi I'm Taylor

I'm an athlete, musician, nerd, carpenter, construction worker, and cattle rancher. I'm the oldest of 7 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent high school graduate, and have been accepted into Brigham Young University. I will be serving a 2-year mission in the Dominican Republic. I Enjoy playing Frisbee, Soccer, and Basketball. I find joy in woodworking, pyrography, working with electronics, playing my trumpet, listening to music, reading the scriptures, and spending time with my friends. I love to create things, to be able to take what's in my mind and make it a reality. I am a proud older brother of 4 sisters and 2 brothers. I love my family and cherish the time I get with them.

Why I am a Mormon

Being born into a family already devoted Mormons, I was one just because. I obeyed my parents, followed their example, and watched how the gospel of Jesus Christ affected the lives of my parents and our family as it grew. As I've matured and learned more and more, I've come to the point where I am a Mormon because I choose to be, it's my choice now. I'm a Mormon because I want to live with my family for eternity and I know it is possible through righteous living and the Atonement of Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God to restore the fullness of the gospel to this Earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and is another testimony of Jesus Christ that goes hand-in-hand with the Holy Bible. I know that the Priesthood was restored and is the real, divine power of God. In my heart I know all this to be true, and it because I have studied, prayed with real intent and desire, and given a witness from the Spirit of God. My prayers were answered, and I would not be able to face the Lord at Judgement day if I were to deny this.

How I live my faith

I'm not an avid participator within all my community's activities, but I love to take part in many of the events celebrating faith, family, and freedom. I try my best to be an example that others will see and be encouraged to think on Jesus Christ. I love to just smile and watch others' faces brighten. Reading the holy scriptures is a regular habit everyday, along with reading the words of modern day prophets. I gratefully and humbly use the atonement of Jesus Christ daily, as I am far from perfect, and need His redeeming grace in my life. Presently, my endeavors to live my faith are focused on preparing to serve my 2-year mission. For 2 whole years I will give up my normal life and be devoted to being a emissary of the Lord to His people.
