Hi I'm Hannah

I am preparing to serve the Lord as a missionary in Guatemala. I love to learn. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hey there! I was going to college for a degree in nursing, but now, after completing one year, I have decided to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and have been called to the Guatemala. I will go back to school after my mission is complete and get my RN. I love long boarding! I wouldn't even say that I am particularly good, but I love practicing and getting better, trying bigger hills etc. I love singing and exploring all the different emotions and beauty in music. I love learning about all cultures and what they have to offer, because every culture has TONS to offer in so many aspects. I love the innovation's in healthcare and becoming more familiar with all that the medical field has to offer in helping people by improving lives and saving lives. I like to cook and I love to bake simple and fun recipes. I am definitely a people person and I just enjoy spending time with others whether that's at a concert, while cooking together, on a hike, or just sitting in your apartment bouncing a ball back and forth. I love being active in my faith because I feels its truth and I feel the happiness it brings me.

Why I am a Mormon

So I was raised a Mormon, and went to my church all growing up, but it's because I am converted to my church that I continue to attend and live as a Mormon. I don't consider religion to be only a Sunday worship, but more of a lifestyle! I love learning and gaining knowledge through church attendance and through personal revelation of the spirit, and then apply what I have learned to my life. I know that this life throws loops and turns at us every corner we turn, but I am so grateful to have the knowledge of The Plan of Salvation. I and thankful for a Savior who is vital to that plan and who makes it possible for me to become all that I can. It is only through Him that I can hit my fullest potential and it is only through Him that I can return to live with my Heavenly Father again. I live my religion because it is true, and because that truth brings happiness. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and restored the fulness of Christ's church to the Earth so we could all have the chance partake of it in this day and age. I know we all have divine purpose here and that, although life is hard, we can do hard things! And if we put our trust in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and the prophets and apostles placed to guide us in these latter days, then we can find our own Plan of Happiness.

How I live my faith

My current calling is as a missionary! As a missionary in Guatemala I will be teaching and preaching the word of God, sharing what I know to be the truth with the people I meet there. I will start with a 6 week training in a missionary training center and will study teaching methods, spanish, culture of the area, and of course the scriptures! I know that the sacrifice I am making to be a missionary is also a blessing and I will be molded by Heavenly Father's guiding hand along the way.
