Hi I'm David

I grew up in Syracuse. I shred the slopes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am huge into adventures; whether it be on a hike, wake-boarding, skiing, you name it. I grew up with parents who taught me that there is life outside the home. I am a strong believer that Country-Music heals the soul! I believe the best remedy for a tough day is pulling off onto a dirt road, pulling out a lawn chair, cranking up some country music, and watch the sun set then star-gaze until everything is all good! I also believe and know that life gives each of us trials, but it is up to us to look past them, and to live in the moment around good people and vibes.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon faith to a great family. I am the oldest of 6 kids; there is and never has been and there never will be a dull moment in my home! To be brutally honest, I grew up living a lot off of my parents testimony. I knew the Church was true, but I didn't have my real testimony until I read the Book of Mormon for the first time when I was 17 years old. In Moroni 10 : 3-5 it says that we need to pray to Heavenly Father with real intent and having faith in Christ and ask Him if the Book is true. After reading it, I took Moroni's challenge. I prayed harder than I ever have; and to be honest, I was expecting a lightning bolt to strike and then I would know it was true! But the exact opposite happened, I found out for my self right then and there by the most peaceful and warming feeling. It came over me like someone was hugging me. My emotions went out the window, and I knew right then and there, that that Book is true. If the Book of Mormon is true, that means that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God, and if that is all true, this Gospel is true. I bear you my testimony that I know this Church is true! I read it every day, and each and every time I find out for myself again and again and again that it is true! It is my personal map to my life, and it can be yours and everyone's as well! God lives, and He loves us so much. I bear you my testimony, in the sacred name of Jesus Christ; our Lord and Savior; Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith right now by having the honor and privilege of being a Full-Time Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! Each day from 10:00 in the morning to 9:00 that night I am doing all I can to bring others unto Christ. Ever since I have been little I have always wanted to be a Missionary; and I hope I always have been one by my example to others. Being a Missionary is one of the best experiences I have ever had; it truly is life changing.

What is being a Mormon like?

David
One of the greatest reasons for being here on earth is to "have joy" (2 Nephi 2:25). Personal prayer, scripture study, and attending church helps us better understand that the best way to find joy and happiness in this life is to know about Our Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to strive to keep God's "law" (Proverbs 29:18). Families are an essential part of God's Plan and much of how we live focuses on our families. We want to share the happiness we enjoy with everyone we can through service, missionary work, and contributing to society. Show more Show less
