Hi I'm Steven

I grew up in California. I work with children to help them be better citizens and aim for a higher education. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college graduate with a B.A. in Psychology. I love reading books and writing poetry. I work with kids that have special needs as a instructional assistant. I also work in a before and after school program in an elementary school.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are converts to the church. Therefore I grew up in the gospel since I was a baby. I was babtized when I was 8 years old on my birthday. As I grew older I could no longer piggyback on my parents faith that this was the true gospel, so I stoped going to church. After being inactive for a couple of years, I eventually had the desire to know if the Church was true. One day I got on my knees and prayed to GOD to know if the Book of Mormon was true. That day I received an answer. I heard a voice in my head telling me " You already know it is true, why are you asking." In that moment I realized that I did have a testimony of the church, I knew all along that it was true but I had convinced myself or forgotten what I knew to be true. After that there was a great change in my heart and a desire to always follow the Lord came over me. I'm in no ways perfect or know all things but I do know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ church on earth. That Joseph Smith was a Prophet of the Lord and that the Book of Mormon is true. I know God loves all his children and wants them to return to Him and thru His Gospel we can. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I'm the representive of the young single adults in my ward. As such I help organize activities that are both uplifting and fun. I also help teach in our sunday school classes.
