Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm a reader, a writer, a day dreamer. I love God and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young woman, about to serve my mission. I report to the Missionary Training Center on October 28th 2015. I love to read, and write, and daydream. I love history and languages. Right now, I only know Japanese - and I love it - but I plan on learning more when I can. Having studied Japanese, I've become involved in their entertainment - books and tv shows and stage productions, etc. You could call me an otaku. My family consists of my father and mother, my four older half siblings (and their kids), and my younger full sister. And a German Shepherd and a cat.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. I've never had any serious doubts. I remember taking the advice to pray about the Book of Mormon to find out if it was true for myself, and being comfortable after I did. But it was through an addiction I had to recover from - deeply ingrained, painfully removed - that I truly experienced the love of my Savior, full-on and personal. A testimony of Him was born then that can never be erased. I believe in Him with all my heart. My redemption was found through the priesthood authority of this church, through the steps of repentance I learned from its scriptures and my teachers and parents. Christ is real, He is my redeemer, my Savior, and I know, through this testimony, that the LDS church is true, and everything about it. It is because of my Savior, and my knowledge of Him, that I am a member of His one, true church.

How I live my faith

I am a Primary teacher in church - I teach the 5-6 year olds. I bounced all over the place for a while - teaching the 4-5 year old, the 3-4 year olds, I helped in Nursery one Sunday. I love teaching those kids with all my heart. I go to the Temple when I can. I do my best to read my scriptures every day, to really study them. I want to grow closer to God, and will never let anything ruin my testimony of Him.
