Hi I'm Kailia Young

I am 19 and I have lived in Arizona and Minnesota. I love music and am majoring in Music Education. I love to draw. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 and a college student who studies music education. I am the second out of 9 kids. I love music and drawing. I am going to be serving a mission in California. I have an older brother that's on a mission. I love to teach. I am not very good at sharing about myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church ever since I was born. When I was younger, I rode on the coattails of my parents testimonies. I had a testimony of the little things but not so much of the big things. When I was 14 and a freshman in high school, I had lingering feelings of anger about moving from my home in Arizona to Idaho and soon after Minnesota. I didn't understand why I had to be so far away from my family, who were also some of my best friends. I was confused because there were people who tried their hardest to get me to deny my faith and I didn't know how to handle it. There is a lot that went on but I will spare you the details. After I had been confronted by my parents about what was going on in my life that would cause me to shut myself away from every body, I had decided to fast about what was going on and if the Lord would help me clear my thoughts so that I could be better attuned to what He wanted me to know. After my prayer to close the fast, I got my clear head and an understanding of what was needed from me in that time. I needed to go through it so that I could better help others going through something similar. I know that prophets are the mouth piece of the Lord and they speak the truth. I know the Savior suffereed for the sins, afflictions, pains and sorrow of the world.

How I live my faith

I was a teacher in primary (young kids) as wells as the Ward historian. I made kept track of all the events that went on in the ward. Baptisms, scout camp, girls camp, those types of things. I try to go to church every Sunday and make sure to pay my tithes.
