Hi I'm Chris

Hi, I'm not very good at introductions. I do have a call to serve in the Culiacán Mexico Mission.

About Me

I am the oldest son in a family of five, I live with my parents and a younger brother and sister. I love music, both listening and playing it, and I do sing on occasion. I have been playing piano for 14 years, and some of my favorite songs to play are La Campanella by Liszt, Don't Stop Believin' by Journey, and For All the Saints by Ralph Vaughn Williams. I love food, if something is called food in some country, I'll try it! I also am part fish, I love to be in the water, whether it is swimming, teaching swim lessons, or lifeguarding. However, the ocean is much better than any pool, to me. I plan to leave for my mission in the upcoming months, and look forward to serving the people of Mexico. I feel called to the medical field. I hope that when I return from my mission, I can become a surgeon and help others.

Why I am a Mormon

Being born into His church, as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I have always been a member. However, as I have matured and gone through life, the simple truth and comfort that His gospel brings to my life, and the peace it brings through trials in my life help me continue to follow His gospel. My life has not been perfect, but the teachings of Christ have given me hope through hard times in life.

How I live my faith

I serve as a primary teacher in my church congregation, teaching 8 year old kids on a weekly basis. It is amazing to listen to them, they are already so smart, and have intuition far beyond their age. I also serve as an organist, playing monthly during Sacrament services. I have been preparing for full-time missionary service since I was little, studying the teachings of Christ, helping others, and always trying to contribute positively to each and every day. As the time to serve draws near, I find myself studying more and more, so that I may share the good news with others and help them come unto Christ.
