Hi I'm Jared

I'm from my favorite place on Earth, Claremont California and I am a people person. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from a beautiful small city in L.A. County where the weather is nice and sunny. When I was in high school I had a passion for not just music but making music in a group, which is why I loved Marching Band. I was able to serve as Drum Major for two years and it has done a lot in the molding my attitude and ideology I hold close to me today. I also like to swim and was on swim team for a while. All in all, my favorite thing in this life is other people. I love to learn about other peoples' life stories and how they think. I like to figure out what drives them to do the things they do in this life. The human mind is very interesting to me and I love figuring people out and challenging the way they think, even if it annoys them a little! I aspire to be as selfless and loving to other people as much as I can even though I'm a pretty judgemental person.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and my parents always had a solid belief in our religion. I lived a normal LDS life up until I was probably around 16 to 17 years-old. I specifically remember making a conscience decision to continue with this church and take to heart what the teachings are. I have learned the importance of being Christlike and striving to be selfless like he was and is. I know that God lives and I know he has a great influence in my life and the lives of others. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church and it's Gospel is essential for God's children to learn and want to live with him again.

How I live my faith

My Faith is the most important thing I focus or strive to focus on in this life. I love my ward and I love the people in it. I am actually about to leave on my mission so I was assigned to teach a class of 10 year-olds in my ward. I love teaching them because kids really are just so fun even though it's hard sometimes. Everything that I learn and re-learn weekly helps me to live my life and guides me to make the right choices. The LDS church revolves around Jesus Christ and it is so important to me to be like him. I strive to act like Christ and be loving and charitable in everything I say and do, even though it really is so hard. I know I'm not perfect but I do know that with the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are the true Gospel on this Earth and I personally need it in order to better myself and the lives of others, and help them understand God's greater plan for us.
