Hi I'm Martin

I'm a competitive swimmer. I am a lifeguard and a swim teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a competitive distance swimmer. My top three events are 200 yards freestyle, 500 yards freestyle, and 1650 yards (or one mile) freestyle. I'm a certified lifeguard and swim teacher, the best job in the world. I'm going to college to study Comparative Political Science and Military History. My dream job is a U.S. Air Force Pararescueman.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I truly know it is the true church on the earth. The Book of Mormon was translated by Joseph Smith, and it is the most important book ever written. I testify it is the Lord's work. God has revealed another testament of Christ. There is a true and living prophet on the earth, who leads the Church today. I know it's true.

How I live my faith

I have served in several leadership positions in my church, helping to organize ward and stake activities. I have also been a Family History Consultant and an assistant Webelos Den Leader in Cub Scouts. Me and my sister also performed in the Martin Harris Pageant in Clarkston, Utah. One of the best ways I have found to live the Gospel is to help people, no matter who, where, or when. It's been a blessing to me serving others, especially home teaching.

What is being a Mormon like?

Martin
Being a Mormon, a member of God's true and restored church, is fairly normal. We may choose different styles of clothing, we may walk out of and not watch certain movies, but we're not completely different from everyone else. Members of the Church adhere to certain standards that bring lasting peace and joy into our lives. We understand that the world may have different views on certain subjects, but we do not lower the standards the Lord has set for us to follow. Being a Mormon is the best thing ever!
