Hi I'm Emilee

I've grown up in Utah and am now venturing out to Kennewick Washington where I'll be serving as a full time missionary!

About Me

I recently graduated from high school and am the oldest of 3 kids. I will be serving a full time mission in Washington Kennewick on October 7th! I couldn't be more excited! I love music, the outdoors, ice cream and smiling! I'm not too picky when it comes to music. I love many genres. I play the piano. I love sitting down at the piano after a long day. It helps me relieve my stresses of the day. I could do anything outside, I like playing sports with my siblings, taking the jeep up the canyon or even just swinging in my hammock. I always feel good when I'm outside! My addiction is ice cream! Buy me an ice cream and I'll do just about anything for you. I love to laugh and smile. Why be miserable when you can choose to be happy! I love trying to make people happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. When I reached an age where I could start making decisions for myself I wanted to find out if this church was the church I really wanted to be apart of. I needed to know for myself if the Book of Mormon is true. I read the Book of Mormon for myself around the age of 13. After reading I prayed to know if it was true. I got my answer!! I love this church and am so grateful and glad to be apart of it. I have experienced no greater joy that comes from being a Mormon. I love my family more than anything in this world. This church has allowed us to draw closer together as a family. I'm grateful for the knowledge that families can be together forever! This brings me great comfort and joy! I strive everyday to be grateful for what our Heavenly Father has given me and live a life more like our Saviors. He loves all his children. I see his hand working miracles in my life and the lives of those around me everyday!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday! This means I try to read my scriptures, say my prayers and find someone I can serve and reach out to everyday. It's funny what big of a difference these things have made in my life! As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I want to be the best disciple of Christ I can. I make an effort to go to church every Sunday. At church we remember our Savior and I remember what my purpose on this earth is. My Sunday church attendance helps prepare me for the rest of my week. The sacrifice of church attendance is so worth it! Every Sunday I play the piano for the young woman's group in our church. I love it! The songs we sing help invite the Spirit and remind us of our Savior. It sets the right mood for our meetings and lessons. There is great power in music!
