Hi I'm Taylor

I am a former Disney employee. I'm a twin. I am about to leave on an 18 month mission to Winnipeg, Canada. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student at BYU Idaho, and because I am a student, I was able to apply for the Disney College Program and work in Disney World for a few months earlier this year. So, I obviously love all things Disney, but I also love music, singing and acting, hanging out with family and friends, traveling, eating, and watching Netflix. One of my favorite things is spending time with my nephews and niece. Being an aunt is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I am also very much looking forward to serving in the Canada, Winnipeg Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger I went to church because that's what we did as a family. My parents were always active in the church and I never really questioned whether or not the church was for me. I attended my meetings, but I didn't really listen. Then, I matured a bit and started listening and participating more in class. I kept having spiritual confirmations that what I was learning was true. I decided at that point to pray everyday and to read the Book of Mormon all the way through, and at the end ask Heavenly Father if it was true. Once I got to the end I was actually quite nervous to ask. I knew that if I asked and I received the answer that is was true, that I would have to act. And I knew it wouldn't be easy. But I decided to ask anyway! And an overwhelming feeling came over me, that made me think, "Of course this is true. You've always known it was." And ever since then I have had a testimony that I can't deny. Of course there are things that I still have questions about and that I still don't understand. But we are all on our own journeys of becoming closer to our Father in Heaven and our Savior. And If there is one thing that I want people to know, is that this church can bring more happiness then you have ever known. The fact that we can be forgiven of our sins and shortcomings, the fact that we can be lifted by our Savior when we feel like we can't go on any longer, the fact that our families can be with us forever, even after we die, provides true happiness that you can't find anywhere else. I know that our Father in Heaven loves us beyond comprehension. He loves us so much that He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to die for us, so that we can return to Him and to one day become like Him. I know that Joseph Smith restored the church back to the earth, and that we have a modern-day prophet here on earth today. I know that this church is true with all my heart, and I invite you to find out for yourself if it is true.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the LDS church my entire life, and because I have been, I have had the opportunity to have a lot of "callings" (leadership positions) within the church. I have been able to organize youth service projects, I have been able to be a Sunday School teacher, Ward Missionary, and I have also been able to be a leader within the young women of the church. The most important thing coming up though, would be the fact that I am about to become a full-time missionary for the next 18 months. Besides my callings, I have been able to live my faith in other ways as well. I try to do different service projects and have been able to feed the homeless, do trash pick up, plant trees in the park, provide Christmas gifts to those in need, donate blood, and many other service-oriented activities. I really enjoy helping others and trying to make the world a better place to live.
