Hi I'm Elizabeth,

I'm a mom, a music-teacher and a very happy Mormon.

About Me

I was born to parents with lots of adventure. As a family of 11 we went 8400 miles down to the Yucatan Peninsula in a 22 foot motorhome. We went deep sea fishing and caught barracuda at Isla Mujeres, saw all the fascinating ruins and luckily made it back across the border into the US before our motorhome broke down. Maybe it was more than I could handle, but while I went along for the ride, I was never the one to initiate adventures. That's one of the many reasons I love being a Mormon. It's not a religion for the faint hearted or closed minded. Serving in this church has challenged me to expand in ways I would never seek, and opened many doors for personal learning, growth and rewarding friendships. Everywhere we travel we find instant family when we simply go to church!

Why I am a Mormon

My husband served in Taiwan and I served in Spain before we were married and it was while serving then that we realized there was no message that could change the lives of people as powerfully as the one we shared. Since then, the gospel of Jesus Christ has continued to bless our lives and those of our children. While parenting three totally different children was the hardest thing we've ever done, the gospel of Jesus Christ taught us how to find hope and do it with love. We were so thankful for awesome role models in the church during their teenage years that helped them catch a vision of who they could become when mom and dad weren't "cool" anymore. We learned that God can touch our lives daily and miracles have definitely not ceased.

How I live my faith

Our latest unexpected adventure began last year when my husband and I were called to oversee missionaries in the Singapore and Malaysia. We sold our home and moved out the day after our youngest graduated from High School. We know that many wondered why we would do such a thing when we were so happy and finally arriving at a comfortable stage in our lives. Life's experience has taught us that when we do what we know God wants of us, no matter how much it stretches us, it always ends up bringing blessings that could never have come otherwise.
