Hi I'm Brynne

I'm an unashamed geek. I love Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and anything British. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to sing and was in my high school's Madrigal choir. I love British culture and history, and someday I hope to visit there. But my passion is neither music nor history. When I graduated High School, I went to a small two-year college for a year. I studied a lot of various subjects until I found I loved medical sciences. They're so fascinating to me! The human body is immensely complicated and intricut. :) However one of the best decisions I made there was not my major, but the fact that I decided to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Did anyone force me? No! I made the decision on my own, but with the confirmation of the Holy Spirit I knew it was what I needed to do.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS family (infact my ancestors were Mormon Pioneers) and so I knew a lot about the gospel when I was only a child. However I didn't really gain a testimony (a rock-hard solid one) until I was 18 years old. I chose to be happy through Christ's Atonement! I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church on the earth. I know Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God foreordained and called to restore Christ's gospel on the earth after it was taken during the Great Apostasy (Dark Ages). I know Thomas S. Monson is a true Prophet called and ordained by God's power. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and is a companion to the Bible. Together they form the perfect witness to Christ and Our Heavenly Father. Without the knowledge I have of God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, I would be lost in an ever darkening world. I leave you with this testimony that everything I have said is true, Amen.

How I live my faith

As I talked about before, I am going on a mission; infact I leave in a week and a half from when I'm writing this. I'm excited because I know this is what I need to do. However I didn't always want to be a missionary. If anyone two years ago had told me I'd be a missionary, I would have said they were crazy. It wasn't because I was ashamed of my faith, but that I didn't have a strong testimony of it for myself. That's when I went through a major change of heart and had to choose happiness through the Atonement of Jesus Christ or misery by allowing Satan to degrade my feelings toward myself. I chose to be happy, and it was the best decision I ever made. Today I stand as a witness and a messenger of Christ and of His gospel.
