Hi I'm Sarah

I was born in S California, but I'm now a full-fledged Oregonian. I'm an amateur musician, I love pole vaulting. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love reading, music, food, sports, and trying new things. I love meeting new people and getting to know about others. I'm what you might call a nerd, but I'm also what you might call a fitness nut. I'm what you might call a social butterfly, but I'm also what you might call a weekend hermit....basically, I'm what you might call "difficult to categorize." I grew up a hardcore country girl, and I will always be happiest in the outdoors. Throw in good friends, new friends, and some animals, and I'm pretty much in paradise! I also grew up a hardcore Mormon. I love the gospel, and the peace and joy it brings to my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up a Mormon, my testimony has changed, developed and grown a lot over the years, and yes, it has even gone through periods of weakness due to various difficulties I have faced. But I have always known the gospel is true. However, that's not to say I have not struggled with doubt, questions, even fear at times about whether the church I have dedicated my life, talents, and soul too is really the right one. I have. Everyone does. But I have always been able to rededicate myself to study and prayer that unfailingly brings me back, over and over, to the same conclusion: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's church on earth, and Jesus Christ is at its head. The prophets are truly servants of God, and I can never go wrong if I follow their council. I will never forsake the truth that has guided and sanctified my life, and rescued me. And I pray that everyone will be able to experience the same change of heart that I have, and continue in the faith.

How I live my faith

I want more than anything to be able to share that peace and joy with everyone! My favorite chapter in The Book of Mormon is Alma 29. I feel like Alma when he said: "O that I were an Angel" so I could declare the gospel to everyone all at once! But since I can't be an Angel with the trump of God, I have decided to serve a full time mission to declare the joy of the Gospel with the Spirit of God. I try every day to be more like Christ, and to love those around me. Especially through missionary work.
