Hi I'm Natasha

I'm going to serve a mission in Australia. I love frozen yogurt, soccer, and spending time with my family and... I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I come from a large family. I am blessed to be a daughter to two wonderful parents, sister to seven brothers, and an aunt to ten nieces and nephews. My family members are my best friends. I grew up in Utah and just finished my freshman year of college studying elementary education. I love soccer, being in the outdoors, playing the piano, and eating frozen yogurt! I have just recently been called to serve a mission in Brisbane, Australia. For 18 months, I will serve as a representative for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I am thrilled!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Mormon in a home where I was taught the principles of the gospel. Living and learning the gospel was simply a way of life. From a young age I believed that the church was true. When I prayed and read from the scriptures with my family I felt good inside. Since then, I have come to recognize and understand that those good, warm feelings were from the Spirit. The Holy Ghost testified to me then, and He continues to testify to me now, that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God’s true church. It contains the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was restored to the earth through a latter-day prophet named Joseph Smith. I know we are led by a living prophet today named Thomas S Monson. We can receive guidance and direction from him. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and it was written for our day. That book has brought me closer to God than any other book. I know God lives. He is our loving Father in heaven, and He wants us to be happy. Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I know I can turn to Him in any trial, sickness, challenge, temptation, or disappointment. Because He experienced everything we will ever go through in this life, He knows how to help each one of us. His grace is sufficient for all. He overcame sin; and He overcame death! Because of Him we will all live again. Families are united forever. I have slowly grown my testimony by striving to live the principles of the gospel through my life. Because of this knowledge I have gained and the hope and peace it gives me, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in small and simple ways, such as praying and reading the scriptures everyday. I look for opportunities to help and serve others. In my ward I have received callings to either help plan activities for my age group or play the piano in meetings. I attend church every Sunday with my family. I strive to remember my Savior Jesus Christ and follow His teachings. These little things greatly strengthen my faith.
