Hi I'm Carter Christensen

I grew up in a small farming community in Washington. I will be serving a mission in Durban South Africa, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Carter. I was raised in a farming community, and plan on working with my father on his farm. I attended a semester of college at BYU Hawaii before my mission. I'm serving a mission in Durban South Africa. I learned to long board in Hawaii, and I love every moment that I'm on it.

Why I am a Mormon

Ever since I could remember, I have been exposed to the church in countless positive ways. I know that the LDS church brings so much happiness, and with my family and relatives, the church brings us together so much more. I know that through prayer, one can overcome trials they thought were impossible. If you think you are alone, I know that the Lord is always there for you, through every circumstance. The power I feel when I follow the commandments is priceless. When one follows the gospel of Christ, blessings are received in ways that can strengthen your life tremendously.

How I live my faith

Back in Washington where I am from, I served as a "first assistant" to my Bishop at my church. I tended to the needs that deemed necessary to me to help with, and always helped those who needed it. In my highschool, almost every student had been exposed to the LDS church, due to the small amount of students. The impact our school had on the LDS church was always positive. Many non-LDS students saw the church and had great approaches towards it. Many of my friends were always invited to activities that brought everyone together. Through the years of my highschool career, many of my friends were baptized into the church, and seeing them today makes me so happy. The happiness the LDS church brings is priceless and it is so easy to find through the church.
