Hi I'm Katie

I live in Colorado. I am an optimistic explorer. I love to cook. I am a convert and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an extroverted introvert who is constantly in motion and seeking to help those in need. There is so much negativity in this world and I believe we can all leave a positive mark. Along with my church and work responsibilities, I am also busy playing the role of an advocate for neglected and abused children through a local volunteer organization.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I was raised and baptized in the Catholic church. Then as a teenager, I actively decided I wanted to give my heart to Jesus Christ. That is where my true journey began. In 2013, I prayed to know where I was supposed to serve and grow as a follower of Christ. I wanted to belong to a church where truth was found since my search over the years lead me to dead ends. I was almost discouraged but ended up "accidentally" found by the missionaries about a month after offering my prayer. At first, I reluctantly invited them into my home but after months of learning and studying with the missionaries and members of the church, I grew to love and better understand the gospel. The first time I heard the prophet and church president Thomas S. Munson speak, I felt a peace and reassurance that we are not here to figure life out all on our own. I know that without a doubt, that faith in Jesus Christ and sincere prayer will do wonders and bring a solid, lasting joy!

How I live my faith

I live out my faith by opening my mouth and sharing the gospel with others in the world who desire to have truth and joy. When you have something that makes you so happy, you want to share it, right? In addition to that, I pray and read my scriptures often. I also live my faith my attending church every Sunday and strive daily to live out the teaching of Jesus Christ. I love that the church is a church of action. I do not go to church and participate passively. I have a special calling in the church that helps me to grow mentally and spiritually by organizing events and watching over, strengthening and teaching women.
