Hi I'm Bonnie

I'm a wife, a Mom, and a Grandma of 15 precious grandkids. I love life! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, a Mom, and a Grammy of 15 precious grandchildren. My husband and I love to take our children and grandchildren on fun adventures - trips near and far - camping or traveling by air, water, or side roads. Our family means everything to us. I love to take pictures and make scrapbooks of our "grand adventures" with our family. I absolutely love watching the sun come up over the mountains in the early morning hours before my day begins, and contemplating my day as the sun colors the evening sky as it sets at the end of the day. I enjoy crocheting, sewing, cooking, and being with my family as often as I can. I'm hooked on Sudoku puzzles, crossword puzzles, and reading - especially my scriptures. I'm getting so excited to go on our mission as a Senior Couple and share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon - first, because I was blessed to be born to parents who were Mormons. I was raised close to the church, and my extended family and many of my friends were also Mormons. But every single person must gain their own testimony of the truth of the gospel, and I did too - by study of scriptures, by attending church meetings and classes to learn gospel principles, and by fasting & prayer seeking knowledge and testimony of the truthfulness of the restored gospel. I have received many answers to my prayers. I know my Heavenly Father knows me personally, loves me (I am his daughter and I love him), and he cares deeply about me and my happiness, in this life and in the life to come for eternity. I know my Savior Jesus Christ, came to atone for all mankind, but personally, for me too. I can never thank him enough for that incredible gift - I just try to live worthy of it. I treasure my testimony and my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith each day by seeking guidance from Heavenly Father in all I do. If I listen carefully, I find many opportunities within my reach, to serve his children. I volunteered for years at an elementary school, working one on one with students who were struggling, to improve their reading skills. At church, I worked in our women's organization by teaching lessons on developing homemaking skills and on gospel principles. I worked with the youth and the children organizations, in classes, in activities, and in loving each and every one of those precious kids. I love my neighbors and bring the neighborhood together at our home for holiday parties, and for any reason we can think of to be together having fun, enjoying each other and welcoming every neighbor as part of our neighborhood family. I pray to my Father in Heaven everyday, giving thanks for my precious family, the gospel, my friends and neighbors, my many blessings, and for the Savior and his amazing atonement.
