Hi I'm Michael

I'm an average Joe (or Michael). I'm a curious and logical person. And I'm a Mormon - I know it, I live it, and I love it.

About Me

I grew up in Ohio and all was pretty normal until we lost our house in 2008. We didn't really know what to do, so we lived in a hotel for several years, not really knowing what would happen from month to month. And while our situation has changed and we have been blessed with a wonderful house to rent, we still live with limited means. Challenges such as that can be enough to make any person crack, but instead of letting it crack us, we turned more to God than we ever had before and we have let Him guide our lives in every aspect and we have found greater joy and prosperity that way than we had ever found any way else.

Why I am a Mormon

There are so many reasons in this world for people to be Mormon. The doctrine, the support, the you name it, we've seen it reasons. But the reason I choose to live the Gospel and be a Mormon is because I have put it to the test. I have strived to follow the commandments and to be the best Mormon and the best servant of God that I can possibly be - and then something really interesting happened. My soul awakened within me, I could feel the Spirit more every day in my life and I felt a greater joy in my life than I had ever known. And this proves true every time that I follow the commandments and teachings of the church and help others that are around me. I love this Gospel and I know that the peace that I have found through its precepts have come from heaven and not from myself, others, or any other power on the Earth - it can only be God and it has changed me forever, just as it can anybody else.

How I live my faith

I have served in many capacities in the church, including a leader among my various youth groups within the church. In my service I have found the greatest joy in my life and I want to share that joy with all others I can.
