Hi I'm Jackie

I'm Manchester, England born and bred. I've been a member of the church for 50 years. I'm happy to be a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a senior citizen who likes to be active. I enjoy walking, cycling, swimming and Zumba. I am often to be found visiting and serving people in my community and ward. I have two sons and six grandchildren. We love to spend time together creating memories. Family history is important to me and I like to share what I know with my family. I also enjoy singing and am a participant in my stake's choir.

Why I am a Mormon

I know the church is true. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God that was translated by Joseph Smith, a true prophet of God. I know my Saviour loves me and died for me so that if I'm worthy enough I can go back to live with my Heavenly Father and be with my family in the eternities. I'm grateful for all my leaders and teachers and grateful to have the Holy Ghost to guide me in all that I do in my life. I know that we have a true prophet in the world today in Presidnt Thomas S Monson.

How I live my faith

I love to serve! At the moment I am a leader in the youth programme. This is a busy calling with lots of activities to organise and lessons to teach but it's a role that is extremely rewarding. It's a privalige to be a part and influence in these young girls lives as they discover and strengthen their faith at a time of their lives which can be difficult to navigate. In return I find that the girls keep me young! I'm also currently in charge of my stake's Family History Centre. This is another consuming role in which I relish the challenge of helping people to locate their ancestors. I believe that faith without works is dead. Therefore, I will always try my best to see the needs of those around me and help in anyway that I can.
