Hi I'm McKennah

I grew up in Sandy, UT. I love making life full of adventures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student in college studying Nursing. I've always loved to be involved in my school and community by serving others. My senior year of high school I volunteered over 80 hours in my own community and then traveled to Nepal in the summer to help with earthquake recovery. In my spare time I love to spend time outside. I was blessed to grow up right between two valleys which have made for some amazing memories. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has brought so much joy to my life so far, and I know it will bring even more joy to my life in the future. I hope to bring the gospel of Christ to others because I know it is through drawing closer to Christ that we become the most happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is God's church. I have found more joy and happiness through this church then by any other thing on the entire Earth. I know that as we pray to God we can find answers to our prayers and that has given me so much peace. I know as I trust in God, I will be guided by him. I know that God has a plan for me and each one of his children. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." If we make our faith an act, he will guide us. Even when I don't know why things are happening in my life, I know that God has a reason because he is directing me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to reach out to those who are struggling whether that be emotionally, physically, mentally or spiritually. I believe being a friend to everyone is the best way to live life. As you build others up both you and the recipient grow in every aspect of your lives. In high school I spent two years serving as a counselor in the Special Needs Mutual Program. I loved it. I got to be a counselor to two girls both years and they have become some of my very best friends. It was so humbling to see their positivity each week. I am so grateful to God for giving me that calling.
