Hi I'm Chad Hopkins

I was born in the church then went inacitve. I couldn't be more happy to be back and serving a mission in Knoxville Tennessee.

About Me

I love being outdoors, and doing anything to stay active. I will play any sport that is known to man. Something thats very relaxing, that I had the privilege of, is to hangout at the beach and relax. Even though im from the city I love to get dirty. Going camping and fishing is always a great time by myself, with friends, or family.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I am mormon today has alot to do with what I have been through and the feelings that I have felt. I was born and raised in the church. Both my parents are converts, my mother served a full time misson so she had a strong testimony, but my father on the other hand was not so involved in the church. Growing up I was constantly involved in activites that gave me a feeling of the spirit, and others of satans temptation. Once I entered highschool my mother started to let me make my own decision to attend church or not. Each year my church attendacne slowly was less and less until I was inactive. Thoose next couple years after highschool where a rollercoaster of a lost child of God finding "happiness" in a different way. Then all of a sudden this girl got introduced to me from my brother something about her caught my attention . When we both meet we were both not fully active in the church. After a couple weeks, maybe a month or so we looked at eachother and said what are we doing?! We realized that the way we had been living is not true happiness. After that day we have both been going to church full time, reciving callings, and striving to be like Christ. Then through the faith that I have regained from attending church I decided to serve a full time misson. I cannot wait to serve and bless the lives of Gods children on my mission and am so grateful for my girlfriend being one of my greatest supporters as I prepare to leave her, and my family for two years.

How I live my faith

Throughout the week here are some ways that I keep my faith growing. For example I love to have daily scripture study, attending church on a weekly basis helps to keep the Spirit near, and keeping the sabbath day holy goes right along with that. Power of prayer is another huge faith builder, and I have seen it bless my life as Hevanly Father has heard my prayers and answered them. Im always willing to show my charity by helping others if they are in need, and paying my tithing shows my obedience to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Last but not least I am setting my life aside for two years to serve the Lord on a full time misson and to help bring others unto Chirst.
