Hi I'm Kerry

I'm an Interior Designer from a little town near the Cotswolds in England. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I have been working as an interior designer for almost 12 years now which I really enjoy. Following redundancy in 2014 I was self-employed for a while where alongside some free-lance design work I was able to also develop my talents with some graphic art, textile & craft-work making hand-made gifts. I returned to full time employment last year designing for a different market which has been a welcomed new challenge. My other hobbies also include watching movies, photography and thrill rides. I also enjoy singing and dancing. I currently live with my two cats whom I absolutely adore and I am preparing to Serve a full-time mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a non-religious family but have always been searching to know if there was a God. One day I prayed that if God were there that he would help me. He sent help in the form of two missionaries who crossed my path. As I learned about His Church everything seemed to make sense and not contradict the things I imagined His true church to be. As a logical person this was important. Gradually I came to know in my heart that this was really The Church of Jesus Christ and I was baptised in 2010. This was the best decision I had made so far in my life and whilst my life has still had the trials and struggles of normal life I am able to cope with them more easily and have gained a deeper peace, hope and joy in my life that I had not known before.

How I live my faith

I currently have two callings in my branch. I serve in the womens organisation where I organise monthly activities where we learn new skills, have fun and help those in need. I am also the branch music director. I have organised several christmas choir performances and charity fundraising events in my local area.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

The work that we as a church perform for those who have passed was something that greatly contributed to my initial testimony of the truth of the church. When I had previously studied religion I always felt that if everyone needed to be baptised to return to live with God then that was unfair as some people do not receive that opportunity. Proxy baptisms mean that all of those who have ever lived have the opportunity to accept baptism for themselves. Show more Show less
