Hi I'm Raquel

As a military brat I've lived all over the world. I'm a college student studying special education. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Because I have lived in many places I love traveling and experiencing new cultures. I also love the outdoors, especially running, hiking and mountain biking. I am a college student studying special education and I love reading classics.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up being a Mormon but it wasn't until my teenage years that I truly understood and appreciated what I was born into. I had to study the scriptures and pray in order to receive a witness that this is the true church. I am a Mormon today because I love this gospel. Through it I can come close to Jesus Christ and follow his example. This world and this life can be hard and painful but through the gospel of Jesus Christ I have been comforted and gained incredible peace.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith daily by doing the small and simple things such as reading scriptures, praying and attending church. These are incredibly important to me and help build me every time I do them.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Raquel
Families are ordained of God and it is through families that we can gain great happiness. In the home we learn so much including morally, spiritually and educationally. Our families are not perfect but through the gospel we can gain so much peace and joy. Show more Show less
