Hi I'm Camille Jackson

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I love running, singing, learning, and laughing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of four children. I have two brothers, a sister, a brother-in-law, a sister-in-law, and twin niece and nephew. I ran on my high school's cross country and track teams for all four years of high school. I was head editor of the yearbook my senior year. I am currently a student at Brigham Young University, and I am loving every single second of it! I have been a member my whole life, and I love this gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I used to be Mormon because my family was Mormon. I was raised in the church and taught church principles by my wonderful parents and leaders, but once i got to high school, I knew I needed a better reason than that. So, I began studying more for myself, asking questions, receiving answers, and praying. I'm a Mormon because those questions and prayers were answered, and I cannot deny these answers or the joy that the gospel brings me.

How I live my faith

I've always tried to live my faith for me while being an example to others. It's easy to compare yourself, especially in Utah, to other members and think you're not good enough. But I have learned that the gospel is for the individual. I read my scriptures, say my prayers, keep the commandments, and follow the prophets because it brings me peace and happiness. Doing these simple acts blesses my life, and hopefully my example blesses others. The gospel isn't about who serves the most or who follows the commandments the best. It's not a compitition, but a place for imperfect people to become who they, and the Lord, want them to be, and that is a beautiful thing to me. We are here to help each other learn and grow so we can ALL return back to our Heavenly Father, and I am so grateful for that.
