Hi I'm Mindy

I am a missionary in Tokyo Japan. I love sailing. I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the beautiful area of Northern Idaho where my dad taught me to sail, and my mother taught me health, and if my family wanted a vacation we spent it willingly in the woods. I became a certified sailing instructor at sixteen years old. Today, I am a happy missionary in the wonderful land of Japan! Where the people are sweet and everyone is your friend. I plan to start a family and go to school when I get off my mission, with the intent of doing Wholistic Counseling and being an Institute Teacher so that I can help people to be more healthy and experience more joy in their lives, and so that I can continue to share my excitement for the word of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was Mormon with a father who joined the church when he was a teenager. Both had strong testimonies of the church and of God's love for us. Those beliefs set the standards for the values in our home and gave us a lot of peace and love. My childhood was rich because of their faith. A few years ago, I wanted to know for myself, outside of my parents beliefs, which church was right. To know, I prayed with much intent. When the answer came it was unmistakeable. I knew it was God answering my prayer. I know the Lord hears prayers, from everyone, and we can pray to him often. I know the Book of Mormon is true and it is an amazing book to read. I love the Book of Mormon and I love this church. I love God and Jesus Christ. I know that through prayer, everyone can come to know the truth of whatever they are looking for in life.

How I live my faith

The values of the gospel are an active part of everything I do. I have seen more blessings through them than anything else. I feel happy to serve in church and community. I have had several jobs and worked on several community service oreinted projects. I have also served in different volunteer positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In high school I served as a councilor for the the other girls in our congregation. When I finished high school, I was a Sunday School teacher for 5 and 6 year olds. That was a wonderful experience that I cherish. Now, I serve full time as a missionary in Japan. A beautiful country with wonderful people. I love every day.
