Hi I'm Brittley

I'm a college student. I love playing sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second youngest in a family of five children. I am currently in school studying business management. I spend several hours everyday in the library studying so that someday I will be a successful Certified Public Accountant. I occupy my free time by participating in athletic events. I enjoy playing volleyball, basketball, racquetball, football, and inner-tube water polo. If it involves a ball I love to play it. I also have a passion for being outdoors, I spent my summers hiking, paddle-boarding, boating, and jet-skiing. All this physical activity can lead to problems, when I was younger I fell off of a picnic bench and cracked my head open, then a few summers ago I went exploring in flip flops and stepped on a cactus, and recently I dislocated my shoulder playing flag football. But being accident prone is a small price to pay for all the adventures that life offers.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the happiness that it brings into my life. The gospel of Jesus Christ has given me more joy than anything else in this life. As I have struggled through trial and challenges it has given me guidance and reassurance. I know that the principles taught in the Church are correct and will give us blessings if we follow them. I know that it is only through the Atonement of Jesus Christ that we are saved. It is through his sacrifice that we will be able to return to our Father in Heaven. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of God. I know that the Prophet and Apostles of the Church receive divine revelation from God to guide our day and age. I know that by following the commandments that an individual can gain peace in this life and happiness in the world to come. I am so grateful for the blessings and joy that being a member of this gospel provides me.

How I live my faith

I am currently involved in a Young Single Adults Ward. All the members of my ward are enrolled in school and living away from home in my same apartment complex. I have the opportunity to be part of a church organization that is specifically made for the women in my ward called Relief Society. I have been given the opportunity to be in the leadership of organization. My responsibilities include planning activities to allow the sisters to get to know each other better and reaching out to those ladies in my ward who are struggling. I have the chance serve my sisters by getting to know them and becoming their true friend. It is such an amazing experience because we all come from differing backgrounds and are at different stages in our live, yet, we can support each other and help each other progress.
