Hi I'm Kaylee Smith

I grew up all around the United States. I am a student. I am addicted to reading. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live near our nation's capitol in Northern Virginia while currently attending school and preparing for my mission. I never knew that the principles of the gospel that I have learned throughout my life would come in so handy during the other aspects of my life. Balancing work, school, family, friends and church can be difficult. I am always up for a spontaneous adventure. I hope to one day travel the world and learn as much about the world and other cultures as I can. I have a desire to read all the time. I will read anywhere and anything. I have been a member of the church for my entire life and intend to stay that way. That's the intro for me!

Why I am a Mormon

This church is such a blessing. I have sometimes taken this church for granted and then afterwards realized how much my life is greater because of it. There are sometimes when I don't fully understand all of the commandments that we are given. I have learned through faith and obedience that when we do follow the commandments, whether we understand them or not, that we will receive numerous blessings. The joy that I feel when I attend the temple, or have a prayer answered is astounding. The blessings of this gospel are endless. I would not be the person that I am today without the gospel. Because of the many blessings and joy that the gospel brings to my life, I want to share this gospel with anyone I can. Which is why I am preparing to serve a mission. I cannot imagine my life without the gospel and want other families to feel the joy that this church brings as well.

How I live my faith

I have recently been put in charge of teaching Sunday school for children ages 9-10. I never knew how much you can learn from teaching someone else. We are currently working on the Primary program. Which is when all of the children between the ages of 3-12 speak about church principles they have learned about. And sing songs about gospel principles. I love working with the children in my ward.
