Hi I'm Beka

I have lived in Utah, Michigan, and Idaho. I'm studying to become a nurse. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am passionate about helping in the healing process; physical, emotional, and spiritual. I've been attending a university in Idaho, studying nursing. I will be leaving my family and friends for 18 months to serve an LDS mission in Minnesota to bring others unto our Savior, Jesus Christ. These next 18 months of my life will be very focused on the spiritual healing of those who have not heard the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I also love to exercise, cross country has always been a passion of mine. I come from a big family of 8 children. I love my family, I am happiest when we are all together. I know that I will be with my family and the ones that I love forever, never to be separated because of the atonement of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born to a family that was part of the LDS faith, but I like to think of myself as a convert. (Convert is a word we use for someone who was not raised in the church). As I child I largely relied on my parents faith. I went to church because that's what we did on Sunday. I prayed because we were taught to pray. Once I left home to go to college my parents weren't there to make me go to church, I went because I wanted to. Moving out forced me to decide how I felt personally about the church. Did I believe it? That is the question I had to answer within myself. So, I did what I had been taught to tell investigators of the church to do, that is, read the Book of Mormon with a sincere desire to know the truth and pray about it. I cannot explain the feelings and impressions that I had as I read and prayed about the Book of Mormon, to understand, you would have to do as I did and read it for yourself. But I can tell you that I know that it's true. If you have questions and want to know for yourself, don't take my word for it, test the Lord, He will manifest the truth of it to you by the spirit and you will know for yourself. This gospel means everything to me. It changes the way I live, and fills my life with so much more meaning.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to become more like Jesus Christ everyday. We all make mistakes, and that's okay. The important thing is that we keep on trying. Don't give up! I learn more about who the Savior is when I study and ponder the scriptures. I know that God knows me. I know it. He loves all of us and wants us to return to Him after we die and dwell with Him and his son Jesus Christ forever. This is a message of joy and love. This is a gospel of action. I'm a Mormon, I know it, I live it, and I love it.
