Hi I'm Kai Alger

I grew up in Utah. I like to play music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Kai. I played sports for a lot of my life up through high school and then I discovered that I love music just as much. I taught myself how to play piano, guitar, drums, and several other instruments. I spend a lot of my time practicing those instruments and listening to music to inspire me to learn more. I also enjoy writing and write my own songs on occasion.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family that regularly attended church. I always went to church with them, but that didn't necessarily mean that I believed in the church 100%. Once I started getting old enough to think about the reasons why I go to church, I decided that I needed to learn for myself. The age of allowance to go on a mission for men is 18, it is most common where I live for young men to go on their missions at that age. When I became that age, I wasn't fully committed and had things in my life to sort out. After several years of learning about myself and what I believed in, I decided to serve a mission. This gospel is truly the gospel of Jesus Christ and He is the Savior of every single person to have lived, are living, and will live on the earth. We are fortunate enough to have the Lord's gospel restored on the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. He was a true prophet called by God and I know that today we still do have prophets; Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet today. I testify of the Book of Mormon, that it is the word of God along with the Bible, that hand-in-hand they testify of our Savior, Jesus Christ and contain the fullness of His gospel. This knowledge has brought a peace to my life that would not come by any other means.

How I live my faith

As I grew up in the church, I had several opportunities to serve in specific positions as a youth serving and leading other youth in my age group. Since then, I have still had opportunities to serve outside of there, in particular, I am currently serving the Lord by preaching His gospel in the Oregon Salem Mission!
