Hi I'm Tanner

I grew up in Colonia Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. I have been called to serve in the Nevada, Reno mission. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love basketball, although i haven't been able to play for the last 7 months due to injury. I am looking forward to being able to get back into the sport once I'm back to 100%. I am excited to serve in Reno. My call was delayed a few months due to this injury, but I finally was medically cleared and I couldn't be happier to get started on my mission and share this gospel with the people of Reno and it's surrounding areas!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church so I've never been a member of any other faith, but i can't see myself any other way. I have always loved this church and I am glad my parents decided to raise me this way. It's difficult seeing my friends sometimes that aren't members of the church do things that I don't. They seem like they are having a great time, but I'm glad to refrain from certain activities because i know the Lord has set out guidelines for us and He knows what's best for His children. I wish that everybody could understand this gospel and love it. I don't fully understand it, but i strive every day to gain a better understanding of it. This is why I chose to serve a full time mission. I want to share this gospel with everyone that i can. I know that it has the potential to change lives completely for the better.

How I live my faith

I have had a few leadership positions as a youth in the youth organizations. I taught the 5-7 year olds in sunday school for a while, that was a ton of fun, I got to learn from little kids and learn how to handle them even though they definitely did get a little out of control every now and again. I learned alot of patience from them also. I am leaving to Reno on a full time mission very soon and i look forward to serving and teaching the people there. I hope I can be of as much help I possibly can there and anywhere else I am asked to serve.
