Hi I'm Maegan Lim

I enjoy jogging. I love serving other people. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I love jogging with my friends. I enjoy doing DIY handicrafts. I love my family. I love serving inside and outside the home. I love the youth. I'll be serving in Philippines Cebu Mission for 18 months. I finished studying Business Administration, Major in Marketing Management in University of Santo Tomas.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are members and were married in the Temple. I grew up as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, hearing the testimonies of my grandparents and parents that The Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church upon the face of the earth. But there came a point in my life when I started reading the scriptures, attending seminary classes, Sunday school and other activities and I felt that I only have a “borrowed testimony”. So I continued reading and pondering… And I prayed and asked Heavenly Father if these things are true. And He answered my prayer and I felt the confirmation of the Holy Ghost that the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are true. Through the Gospel, I felt closer to our Father in Heaven, and our Savior Jesus Christ. It helped me gain my knowledge and testimony about His perfect plan for us, and with this testimony, I am more motivated and willing to keep His commandments and to do His will. The Gospel blesses my family and helps me grow spiritually. Without the Gospel, I wouldn’t understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ. The Gospel brings so much joy in my life and the joy I feel made my desire to share the gospel become stronger because I also want other families to experience the joy I am feeling. The Gospel of Jesus Christ teaches everything we need to do in order to return to the presence of Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I am called as a Sunday School teacher for ages 14-17, as the Ward Young Women 1st Counselor, and as a Ward Missionary. As a Sunday School Teacher and Young Women Counselor, I help the youth learn more about the gospel, and help them apply the principles taught by the prophets and apostles. As a Ward Missionary, I sometimes go with the missionaries as they proselyte in the area.
