Hi I'm Tucker Matsen

I grew up in Arizona. I am a wrestler. I am a worker. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently preparing to go on my mission. I was raised in the church by excellent parents, with a worthy Priesthood holder as my father. I have a plethora of hobbies and interests, including lifting weights, wrestling, working on my 1965 Mustang, sales, BYU football and more. I have been accepted to BYU, Provo and will be attending after my mission. I was the team captain of my wrestling team. I am a summer sales rep for Alder Security.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and was baptized at the age of 8, so this was how I was introduced to the church. I was taught many of its teachings, but wasn't truly converted until my Sophomore year. After moving to a new high school, I got caught up in what many would call the wrong crowd. I made mistakes, but because of them I gained a testimony of the Church and especially of my Savior and the Atonement. It is because of this testimony that I am choosing to serve a mission, and I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is what the Lord wants me to do. I am a Mormon because when I was at my lowest, the Lord was waiting for me with open arms. I have a testimony that this Church is true, it is why I am dedicating two years of my life to serve Christ, I have a testimony of the Atonement, I know that Jesus died on the cross for me and that because of that I can one day live in the presence of my Father. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

How I live my faith

My most recent calling in my Ward was to be a Ward Missionary. I often got to visit those in our Ward who were struggling or inactive, and both teach as well as invite them back. How I live my faith though is through my everyday actions. I pray and read my scriptures everyday, I invite my non-member friends to church, and most importantly, I try to simply be a friend to those around me.
