Hi I'm Libby

I'm a recent high school graduate, now an LDS missionary. I love music and anything to do with it. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19, the youngest of 4 in my family. I worked at a frozen yogurt shop. I just graduated high school this past year and am now serving an LDS mission, after which I'll go to college and study Music Education. I love acting, singing, playing violin, viola, or piano. I love four wheeling, camping, going to sporting events, and being with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I started out as a Mormon because my family was. My parents raised me in the LDS religion, but always encouraged me to find out for myself if I thought it was true. Until I had made a decision, one way or the other, they made sure to take me and my siblings to church. At the age of 8 the opportunity came to be baptized. I admit I may not have known completely what I was doing, all I knew was that I had a good feeling about what I was going to do and my family was happy that they had been baptized, so it couldn't be that bad. As I got older and actually started to understand the scriptures, I started to really become converted. I've never had one big moment where I KNEW this church was true, but I had many little experiences that built my testimony of different aspects of this church. As I pray and read the scriptures, I can truly feel my Heavenly Father's love. I know that I am His daughter. I know that I have a purpose here on Earth and I came here from, and will go back to, that same loving Heavenly Father. I know that if I do things that are right, I can be with my family forever. I know that Christ suffered everything we have and more. He has felt every possible emotion we could imagine. I know that I can find peace through Him and His Atonement. I know that mistakes we make can be washed away if we will go to Him. I know that He guides me in my life through the Holy Ghost, and if I can keep the commandments He has given, I can't go wrong. All these things I have learned through those small experiences and I can't imagine my life without this gospel. I am a Mormon because it gives me immense joy, knowledge, peace, and comfort.

How I live my faith

I was the music chorister for the children's group in my church. They taught me about our Savior's love for us as they share their beliefs through song and simple testimony. I am now a full-time missionary in Albania, Kosovo, and Macedonia where I have the opportunity to share my beliefs 24/7.
