Hi I'm Peggy Hopper

I have 8 children, 23 grand children and I am a retired Flight Attendant with Southwest Airlines. I am a Mormon and love it.

About Me

I spent my high school years in Ventura California where I learned to love the beach, frizzy hair, and roar of the ocean. My sister and I were dedicated to following the LDS religion in spite of objection and much bullying from our family, We were each invited to leave home the day we graduated from High school at age 17. We lived together in a small trailer park, had good jobs, cars and stayed active in M-men and Gleaners, as the young adults were called then. There was such a small selection of active young men that we dated the same guys. She went off to BYU. I was so lonely I joined her at the Winter semester. We both met my future husband at a BYU dance. She dated him first. 42 years later we still smile about it. She is still my best friend.

Why I am a Mormon

Perhaps my belief in God and our Savior, Jesus Christ, comes from having to fight for the right to attend church and early morning seminary, firesides, and church meetings.

How I live my faith

Prayer for me is a constant communication with our Father in Heaven. I speak and listen to Him all day long and pay attention with my heart and deepest reverence for His promptings. Being quiet inside is the best way to listen. I want to do whatever the Lord wants me to do. When hubbie and I raised our 8 children I was always aware that these wonderful children where not mine, but belonged to Heavenly Father. I tried to teach them as I thought Heavenly Father taught us in our Heavenly Home with our Heavenly parents. Patience, tenderness, gentleness, laughter and joy. I tired my best to have no judgement, no belittling, no fault finding, no yelling, no fighting. A hug was always the best teacher. My heart's desire was to return God's children to Him in righteousness.
