Hi I'm Tracy Fina'i

I'm a 23 year old Samoan girl who was born in New Zealand but raised in Sydney, Australia and I am a Mormon !

About Me

I come from a big family consisting of six sisters and a brother 😊 ! I believe that music has the tools to transport anyone into a memory, a safe haven or just an escape ! I love hanging out with my friends, singing and laughing ! I've recently been called to serve a mission in the New Zealand Hamilton Mission where I will be serving as a Visitors Centre Sister Missionary ! I'm so exited to serve the Lord and the people of Hamilton.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon but I am also a Mormon by choice ! I'm a Momon because I love God and by following Him, I have a purpose in life that is consistent with His plan for me ! I know that I have the potential to be like Him, that my insecurities and doubts have been paid for by my Saviour Jesus Christ ! I'm a Mormon because I know that God lives and that He knows and loves me ! I know that He hears the prayers that we speak and the ones we are afraid to say! He knows the pain that we keep hidden, the weaknesses that we have and the anguish that comes with trials and temptation. Whatever it is that I am going through I am thankful for it ! Yes I'm grateful for my trials, my weaknesses and my pain because they help me remember that I've also been blessed more times than I can count and that with every trial comes renewed faith and conviction to press forward ! I've been blessed far beyond any pain that I've suffered ! I'm a Mormon because the Gospel has given me things that cannot be bought in a store or wrapped in gift wrapping ! I've chosen to be a Mormon because everything that I ever was, is and will be is given because I love Him and He loves me.

How I live my faith

From the day I was born I was taught that I am a child of God but I didn't really understood what this meant. I have since discovered that when you know that you are a Child of God you begin to understand your purpose and the direction that your life should take! Living my faith centres on asking myself what am I doing that draws me closer to God and what do I need to do to get there ? It will mean giving up something good now for something better later ! But that is the beauty of faith - it's trusting that He knows better and will provide a way for us to attain that great reward ! I know that God loves me, I have felt that love bless and guide my life ! I'm thankful for the unconditional love that enables us to reach out and help others feel of this Infinite love ! I know that as I live up to the potential of becoming a Child of God I need not doubt because with Him, nothing shall be impossible !

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Tracy Fina'i
A testimony is knowledge given to us by God. They are founded on Gospel truths ! They are centred on Jesus Christ being the Saviour of the world, that God is our loving eternal Heavenly Father and that you are His beloved child ! I know that your testimony is built on principles of faith that can only be given to us as we pray and ask for this wisdom ! When you think of a testimony as a light within each of us, you want to protect that light, nourish it and help it to grow brighter and stronger. We do this by sharing our testimonies with others, by learning more of the Gospel's principles, sincere prayer and by living it ! When we shine our light we unconsciously draw others to our lights and allow them the opportunity to shine theirs ! Show more Show less
