Hi I'm Kalee

I'm from the grand old land of Colorado. I have been called to serve in the California Riverside Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Colorado. I love it here! I was born and raised in the church as well. I am a Sophomore in College at Brigham Young University- Idaho. I am studying music education and my principle instrument is classical alto saxophone. I enjoy writing my own music for piano/guitar and voice, and writing arrangements for songs as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I grew up learning the teachings and doctrines of the church and applying them into my life. When I was 8, I was baptized and given the gift of the Holy Ghost by my dad, who worthily holds the priesthood power to do so. I guess you could say I always had some sort of testimony of the gospel, but it wasn’t until my teenager years when I started to really understand what I believed and what I know to be true. As I fought through life’s hardships, I learned the only way I could make it through anything was through the Savior. Through His Atonement, I can find the strength to battle challenges, heal from past mistakes and past circumstances, and find understanding in situations that I would have never understood otherwise. I have learned that the Atonement doesn’t exist because I am broken. It exists because I am worth it. Though I do not always believe this, I have learned to trust that Christ understands my pains and His arms will always be there to hold me until I feel whole again. My testimony is not done growing, nor do I ever think it will be. As I draw closer to the Spirit and to Christ and my Heavenly Father, I realize how far I am from my potential. However, through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I will get there, if I will only have faith, repent, and endure to the end.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I am currently serving as a ward missionary. We are able to go out on visits to those who want to set their own missionary goals, as well as visiting those who we haven't been able to see at church for a while. It is great missionary preparation for my full-time mission.
