Hi I'm Aidan

I am a Californian with a passion for adventure with friends and family, and acquiring new skills. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Aidan. I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. I have a loving father and mother, of which I am the forth son. I also have a younger brother and sister. I live in California. Growing up, I enjoyed learning skills and talents with my friends. I have practiced parkour (a kind of gymnastic, where you use the outside environment as your "gym") with some of my friends from church for a few years. I am learning to play the piano and guitar, and like to learn a lot of little skills, like juggling or beat boxing or handstands or card tricks, ext. But what I really enjoy doing is having adventures! I have gone on bike rides spanning hundreds of miles, treks through wildernesses with minimum supplies, canoeing trips down dozens of miles of river, among many other memorable experiences. This is really what I enjoy; to have friends and family by my side, doing something that will challenge me and create good memories.

Why I am a Mormon

I have come to know for myself that true happiness comes by living the Gospel. Before I received a witness from the Spirit of God that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true, I experienced a season where I did not live the Gospel. Not to say I was involved in many bad or heinous activities, but I didn't yet know the joy of living all of the commandments of God. I have since, by serious reflection, study, and prayer, received a witness to my heart and mind that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ brings happiness, because I have since tried my best to live it, and I have experienced joys far more sweet and fulfilling then I ever did before. I have witnessed miracles in my life, and in the lives of those faithful around me. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Through my Churches Scouting Program, I became a Eagle Scout. At least every month our troop would get together to plan, serve, prepare, learn, or camp out. My town has benefited very much from my troops involvement, and from our service, and I am grateful to have been able to be part of it. I love the people of this world. I recognize in each face a son or daughter of God, and a son or daughter of parents on this earth. I wish all people could have joy, and so I loved my chances to serve in my church callings, and currently as a full time missionary serving in the Ghana Accra Mission for the church.
