Hi I'm Blake Lundquist

I grew up a surfer from California. I'm currently a missionary for the LDS Church in Boise Idaho speaking Spanish. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an 18 year old kid from Southern California. I played volleyball but spent most of my teenage years involved at work, church, and the beach. The things most important to me are my family, friends, and this church I belong to. This year I chose to serve a 2 year mission and was called to the Idaho Boise Mission Spanish speaking. When I get home in July of 2017, I plan on earning money and surfing that summer and eventually attend college in Utah that Fall.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I've seen in others lives how this Gospel has made them who they are today. I continue to be a Mormon because I have felt, through my own experiences and through the Holy Ghost, that this is the true Gospel. God leads and guides this church through his servants the prophets as he did in Biblical times (Amos 3:7). It is His church and He is at the head directing its affairs. It has only made me a better person when I live and apply it's teachings. The knowledge this Gospel has of life and of us and why we are here and and who we are and who we can become will truly set you free as it has for me. I know it's true and so can you. Just have a little faith and give it a shot, you have nothing to lose but everything to gain. This is why I'm a Mormon and especially why I am serving a mission for 2 years of my life; to tell everyone what is out there for them! Come and see for yourself!

How I live my faith

I lived my faith in my youth by trying to be a good kid, by being nice to everyone I met and by surrounding myself with the things and values that would help me be a better person. It's exactly what the LDS faith promotes and I did my best to live it though at times it was hard, especially in High School when most of my friends didn't share similar beliefs. I currently live my faith everyday as a missionary. Teaching and serving people for 2 years is my only job but it has been the most rewarding job I've ever done this far in my life. The Gospel has changed me and it's a blessing to be apart of a work to help others see and recognize the same change in their lives.
