Hi I'm Cumorah

I was born and raised in Rigby Idaho. I will be serving a mission in Perth Australia. I'm a mormon

About Me

I am 19 years old, about to serve my Lord and King in Australia for 18 months. I am the eldest of four kids. I have written and directed a play, and I love to sing. I love to run and stay in shape. I am a people person, and someday I would like to be a professional photographer. I could read all day long and die happy. I enjoy extreme sports, such as rock climbing, zip lining, and knee boarding. I dislike chips, soda, ranch dressing, and other things normal people love.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of this church, but I am a convert like anyone else. As I have prayed and lived the gospel as I have been taught, I have been happy. When struggles have been in my life, they've been easier to overcome as I've relied on the Savior to help me through it. I have been freed from hatred, and the misery that will always accompany it. Forgiveness has not been easier to achieve, but POSSIBLE with this gospel. I am filled with peace and comfort from the knowledge of where I come from, why I am here, and where I will go. I have been blessed by the companionship of family and other church members. There is a love that exists in the family and in the people that could not possibly exist without this gospel, and I am comforted with the knowledge that no matter where I am or what is happening, I will never be truly alone. Jesus Christ knows my name, and he knows exactly what it feels like to be me. He knows how to comfort me, and he suffered and died for me, so that he could. He died for me so that I could one day be with him and my Father in Heaven again. His love for me is overpowering, unconditional, and eternal. This Church has made me who I am. This gospel is what I am, and I love it more than anything else in this world.

How I live my faith

I have served in my church in many different areas, including leadership positions, teaching different age groups, and providing musical ability. I have served as a youth representative in organizing activities and group challenges. I have worked hard to receive awards that are meant to strengthen my testimony and make me a better over-all person. I study, live, and love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Mormons help all people equally. We believe that we are all brothers and sisters. God is our father and he sent us to Earth to become like Him. We strive to become like Christ, and Christ helped, healed, and blessed not only those who believed and followed Him, but also those who ignored, scorned, and hated him. We want the kind of love that enables us to want to serve everyone, whether they believe as we do or not. Show more Show less
