Hi I'm Dakota Striplin

I was born in New Zealand, raised in Australia and I'm currently serving a mission in the Micronesia Guam Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the Lord. I'm currently serving a mission in the Micronesia Guam Mission and couldn't be happier. I love to share the blessings I have received with others and see them come unto Christ. I enjoy playing guitar and singing and spreading the gospel in that way. I also enjoy basketball and volleyball. I'm grateful for the restored gospel of Jesus Christ through the prophet Joseph Smith. It has truly blessed my life. I love to see others feel the blessings of the restored church too. I want to be able to extend those blessings to others through music and by striving daily to be more like my Savior Jesus Christ. I love this gospel and I love Heavenly Father. My name is Dakota Striplin and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm am a Mormon because I know this is a living church led by our Savior Jesus Christ. At the age of 18 I was able to read and pray about the Book of Mormon. Through the undeniable power of the Holy Ghost I was able to feel the truthfulness of the book and of the restoration of the gospel through the prophet Joseph Smith. That's a feeling you cannot ignore or put aside. After receiving that witness I knew I was now accountable to live accordingly. So I chose to put some things that I enjoyed on the back burner to serve a full-time mission for my Father in Heaven. I have found so much joy in seeing others accept the restored gospel and follow the example of Jesus Christ by being baptized. I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I invite anyone who wants to know if it is true, to read, ponder and pray with real intent about the Book of Mormon - to know if it is true. Knowing the Book of Mormon is true also comes with a witness that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that this is the same church as once established by Jesus Christ. I know it's true and it has blessed me so much. I sincerely want others to feel these same blessings.

How I live my faith

I strive to set a good example for those I come in contact with. I'm not afraid to let others know that I love Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I always want to live my life in such a way that My Father in Heaven would be proud of. Everyday I'm trying to be more like Jesus Christ. I often try to remember the words to my favorite Primary song "I'm Trying to be like Jesus." That helps a lot. Remembering my love for Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father helps me to choose the right and stay on the straight and narrow path. I'm grateful for the example of my Parents and sister and also for the example of Jesus Christ.
