Hi I'm Laura

I grew up in Provo, UT. I'm a wife, motorcycle rider, and high school teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I met my husband during my junior year of college. We were married the following summer and graduated from school and moved to Arizona to teach high school together. He teaches gym and American History and I teach the performing arts classes. We ride motorcycles together, work out, camp, and basically do everything together. I enjoy writing, playing guitar (and teaching my husband as well), photography, cooking, and baking. People tell me I'm funny so I guess that's something.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I've have found too much peace and calm in my life to live without it. As a teenager I definitely had a wild streak. Well...I still do. But being a Mormon has given me reason to hold myself to a higher standard. I gained a better understanding of the atonement and learned to exercise faith in times when I would rather rely on myself. I love the unity that automatically comes from meeting other members. I have a deep appreciation for my family as I've realized that they are the truest friends I could have asked for. My husband has a deep love for God and is such an example to me of what a man is and should be.

How I live my faith

I attend our meetings and regularly attend the temple. I'm involved with ward activities and enjoy making new friends in the ward family.
