Hi I'm Gayle

I love being a Mormon, I love my family, I enjoy teaching and traveling, and I am optimistic about life.

About Me

I finally graduated from college with a theatre education degree at age 50 and taught drama to junior high students for four years. I have fun when I am singing, acting, teaching, exercising, and being with family and friends.I am a wife and mother of 10 children, 4 son-in-laws, 1 daughter-in-law, and grandmother of 17 grandchildren! Yes, I am part of a blended family and I love it, family means everything to me. After being a widow for 7 years I feel blessed to have found another good man, who is a Mormon also, to marry and enjoy our golden years together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to follow Christ and his teachings. I was born and raised in a Mormon family, but my own personal conversion came when I was a teenager. I had the opportunity to be near the prophet of our church at the time, Spencer W. Kimball. The spirit I felt around him was so overwhelming that I knew he was a true prophet, thus the dots connected in my mind at that time as the Holy Ghost bore witness to me that yes Joseph Smith was also a true prophet in the 1800's, which meant the Book of Mormon was true, which meant the church I was in really was the true church upon the earth! That experience set me on a path of doing all I could to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ. I can say that because of that choice and striving to always do the will of my Heavenly Father, I am at peace, and happy, even when tragedy occurs to me, my family, and in the world. I know my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ live and they love each of us, and they just want us to experience the joy we can in this life and the next life when we follow and live their teachings. I invite anyone who is reading this profile now to take the steps you need to investigate if the things I have said can be true for you also.

How I live my faith

I enjoy teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ which I have been doing in a Sunday School setting with the youth of our church. I plan to serve missions with my husband for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons). Our first mission will be in Chile so I am also learning to speak Spanish. It is difficult to learn another language, but I know with God all things are possible. Service and being kind to others are key elements for me in living my faith to be more like Jesus Christ. It is not easy to do it all the time, but I am learning when I am kind and helpful to others it brings me a sense of purpose and joy.
