Hi I'm Avalon Cutler

I was born and raised in Southern California. I have been called to serve in the Uruguay Montevideo West Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love art, homemade food, classic movies, and alternative rock music. I am a student at Brigham Young University-Idaho studying business. I have been called to serve an 18-month mission in the Uruguay Montevideo West mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the gospel learning the Primary Hymns where I learned the simple, precious gospel doctrine at a young age. I love this church and how it emphasizes the importance of the family. The center of this restored gospel is Jesus Christ's Atonement, Heavenly Father's ultimate love for us. This church is a church of hope, love, and charity. I have seen Heavenly Father's hand in my life through acts of kindness or simply a smile from my ward family or strangers. I know that as we serve others with a true and honest heart, we will become full ourselves of the love of our Savior. I know that Heavenly Father listens and answers our prayers and He responds back to us with impressions from the Holy Ghost and through the scriptures. I gained my testimony of Joseph Smith by reading Doctrine and Covenants and his history (Joseph Smith History 1:16-17). I know that he was instructed by the Father and the Son to restore the church of Jesus Christ to its fulness. I know that he was a prophet. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God. I know the Book of Mormon to be true. This amazing book has strengthened my testimony and relationship with my Savior and Redeemer. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is our beloved prophet today. I sustain him in every way I can. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I love helping others in any capacity. I have had several callings. When I was a youth, I was a class president (Beehive, Miamaid, and Laurel). I helped organize events from mutual activities to stake activities with the focus of "how can I help others." I was a Sunday School teacher for young adults and later on for Sunbeams (3-4 year olds).
