Hi I'm Jane

I grew up in Utah, I am a college student, I love spending time with family & friends. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I am Jane. I am 18 years old and loving life. I love learning about the human body, it's intricate details fascinate me! I hope to go into the medical field. I love to read, pretty much anything. I have always had a love for Harry Potter. I love being with people that make me a better person and can make me laugh. I love being around my family. I am currently just working and enjoying life, I am not in school right now but I am preparing for something even more worthwhile, to serve a LDS mission to Argentina.

Why I am a Mormon

What a good question. One that seems like it shouldn't be difficult to answer but it sometimes is. I was born into the church to a loving family. It was always easy for me to live my standards and stand up for what I believed in. It wasn't until I was older that I really asked myself questions. I recently went on a church history trip and we were told to ask the question, "is the church true?". I kind of brushed the question aside, not really taking it seriously. We then were allowed time to pray and ask our questions and just have time to ourselves. I decided to ask the question that we were challenged to ask. Here I was in the birthplace of Joseph Smith, I was able to pray to my Father in Heaven about this church. I asked Heavenly Father my question and I was overcome with the spirit, it only lasted 15 or so seconds but it was there. I opened my eyes and sat and listened. I heard church music playing and it manifested unto me more about what was true. I knew that the church was true, I knew that the Book of Mormon was true, and that Joseph Smith really restored the gospel on the earth. In my heart I had already known that all of these things were true, but it was a great reminder and testimony builder. What a special moment that was for me. I am a Mormon because I know the gospel is true, I know that the gospel brings eternal happiness and blessings. It has blessed my life so much. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet in these latter days. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and if we heed it's counsel we will be blessed! I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example. I live my faith by being a faithful ward member and by attending my church meetings. I teach the 7 and 8 year old children. It is a fun job! I love the kids I teach. I live my faith by being obedient to the commandments and reading the scriptures. I live my faith by repenting when I do the wrong things.
