Hi I'm Shea

I was born and raised in Texas. I'm a missionary serving in the Utah Provo mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

This summer I had my first college term. I am putting my education on pause to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My hobbies include hiking, singing, family history work, watching movies and spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

This life has its ups and downs. The Church serves as a guide for how I should live my life in order to be happy. I can't imagine trying to go about my daily struggles without knowing the Gospel. Growing up I followed the standards of the Church mostly because I knew it was what my parents wanted me to do, but as I've grown up I've come to realize for myself that God has given us commandments to be happy. Through my own experiences I've come to realize that I have a loving Heavenly Father. He sent us here to Earth to gain bodies and to become happy like He is. He loves us so much, that He sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to come to Earth and be the perfect example for us. Jesus also paid the price for all of our sins through the Atonement. Christ also was resurrected with a perfect body. Because He overcame sin and death, Jesus is the only way I can return to God's presence, and for that I am eternally grateful. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith, and restored Their Church through him. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and will show people the way to be saved. I know that through the Plan of Salvation I can live with my family again even after death. Being a Mormon can be hard, or even seem lonely sometimes. But it is because of my testimony of this Church that I keep living my faith.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday with my family. I attend Sunday school classes and the general women's organization at Church. I also am preparing to serve a full time mission for the Church.
