Hi I'm Mikinzy Packard

I was born and raised in the U.S.A. I am a theater geek and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the Church. I am the second oldest of four children and I am what you might call the obedient child. Of course I fought with my siblings but they have become my best friends. In my childhood my family always moved around so making friends was easier for me. I started to get into theatre around 7th grade. After my first production I never stopped trying out for productions through school. In High School I was honored to be apart of every production, and my two younger siblings helped with the productions as well. Heavenly Father truly blessed me with the gift of acting, and for that gift I am eternally grateful. I am now a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I am the first Missionary from my family and extended family. Now I am honored to be serving and sharing the gospel for the next 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 8, I decided to be baptized. Since then, I have continued to learn and grow. I have never strayed from the Church. Of course I had my doubts, but I knew that still living the standards, truths and commandments that Heavenly Father gave me would help me more than giving up. I took up the challenge to read and pray when I was about 12. I read Maroni's challenge and prayed with a sincere heart to know if the Book of Mormon was true. I could not stop crying through the pray, and I knew that I had received my answer when my heart felt on fire (but it was a warm-like fire). I decided that I wanted to read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover. I did and it took me 2 1/2 years to complete the task. I am a Mormon because I cannot deny what I know is true. The spirit of revelation burns in this Church and I know that to be true. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

In High School I have always loved attending seminary each morning. I continue to read my scriptures daily and always make time for morning and evening prayer. For the last year I have had the privilege of teaching the Primary children at church. That has been a great experience, and really taught me to teach in simple terms and remember the basic truths of the Gospel.
