Hi I'm Hunter Ogle

I grew up in Woodstock, IL. I love the outdoors and sports. Music is a hobby of mine. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born in Ogden, Utah and when I turned 3 we moved to Illinois which is where I grew up. Growing up I absolutely loved to always have some kind of ball in my hands. That lead to my love for baseball, basketball and golf. I played all of those in high school but, the one I loved the most was baseball. Besides the sporty side of me I found that I enjoy music and participated in the band, choir and theater. I also enjoy the guitar, photography and road cycling. Another thing I enjoy to do is fly airplanes. After high school I attended BYU-Idaho which was different for me going to a school with just a bunch of LDS students I did not have that while going to high school.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 8 years old I decided for my self that I wanted to be baptized and join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints. Now being 8 years old I did not understand everything. I also did not have the strongest testimony. When I was 10 years old my dad and I read the Book of Mormon together it took us about a year. After we finished my dad asked me to go and pray to God to ask if the Book of Mormon was true. I did exactly that and my prayer was answered by this warm feeling in my heart almost like I was being given a hug. From that day forward I knew that the Book of Mormon was true. Unfortunately that was really the only part of the gospel that I had a testimony of. In high school it was hard and I got stuck a few times in my life but, from those experiences I learned about the power of Jesus Christs atonement and how personal it is for each and every one of us. That is when my testimony really began to grow in the gospel. Ever since things are not always easy, but they can be easy because, with God nothing is impossible

How I live my faith

One of the biggest ways I live my faith is by serving other people and one big way we serve in the LDS church is by hometeaching. We have the opportunity to get to know certain families in our wards and serve when they need help. This is a big way I have served in the community as well as in my ward. Service brings me joy and lets me show my love for Gods children.
