Hi I'm Celmer

I'm the only child of my parents. I'm a child of the covenant. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very observant person. I usually come with myself alone seeing the wonderful creations. Though I am the only child of my parents, I am not spoiled. Actually, I am living with my grandmother and my aunt's family now. My mom died when I was still five years old. Even in my childhood, I understood that Heavenly Father has a plan why He got my mom back in my very early years. Now, I continue to be active in the Church despite of the trials and temptations that come before me. I received my mission last December 2017. I was assigned to labor in Peru Lima East Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

My grandparents are the pioneers of our family. My mother was one of their children. She met my father, and they were married in the temple. So, I am born in the covenant. My parents taught me well when I was still a child. Sadly, my mother had only five years to impart her teachings to me. She died of a tumor in the intestine. My dad was so depressed of her loss. He later found another girl, which me and my grandparents did not agree. So I chose to live in my grandparents' care instead. My separation with my dad was tragic to me. But I took it positively, rather than letting myself be consumed of my longing for him. I strived hard in my studies. I read the Book of Mormon and finished it twice. My testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ grew as I finished my Seminary course. I committed myself to always attend Church meetings and activities despite of the many trials and temptations that come before me, because I know that always attending the Church will strengthen me and increase my testimony of Jesus Christ. As I continued to learn in the Gospel and to immerse in the scriptures, I understood that the adversary is always finding ways just to destroy me. One thing I learned and will never forget is that Satan seeks to destroy those whose foundation in the gospel is strong and those whose parents are sealed or married in the temple or those who are children of the covenant, than those taught and converted in the Church. It was a very great challenge for me being a child of the covenant. But I love it. Gladly, I know about this gospel, and I know where I'm going to and how I'm going there. Because of the gospel in my life, I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me, and that He will never leave me. Why I am a Mormon? Because I want to be like Heavenly Father, and I want family to be together forever.

How I live my faith

I am an active member in the Church. As a ward pianist, I play the hymns during the sacrament meeting, the most sacred gathering during Sunday. I accompany the choir during choral presentations. I also serve in many other assignments, including teaching the youth (ages 12-17) in a class on Sunday called Sunday School. I love the youth and I really treasure every teaching moment with them. We learn together about the gospel of Jesus Christ and strive to be better each day by following His example.
